Numeracy Skills Test Resits

We are getting to the time of year now where many prospective teachers have to pass their numeracy skills test in order to start their teach training courses in September and October. Many have all ready sat their exam and some didn’t manage to pass first time. If you are re-sitting your numeracy skills test for the second or even third time do not panic. Read the following hints and tips and hopefully you will feel more confident of passing your numeracy skills test on your resit attempt.
- Make a change. However you prepared previously, it didn’t work so it best to analyse where you think you went wrong and put something in place to correct it.
- Don’t make the same mistake again. Many people sit the governments numeracy skills tests over and over again and as their marks begin to improve they believe they are ready for their test. The best way to measure your progress is the scores you achieve on a practice numeracy skills test that you have never seen before. QTS Maths Tutor offer 21 numeracy skills practice tests to give you enough material to keep practising. We have spoken to many people who have used the government tests and signed up to numeracy ready before failing their numeracy skills test, then sign up to our package and pass. Read our Trust Pilot reviews on the QTS Maths Tutor homepage to find out more.
- If after practicing more qts maths tests you are still struggling to reach the pass mark of 18 then consider looking for some additional support. At QTS Maths Tutor we have expert numeracy skills test tutors who can help. Again read our Trust Pilot reviews which provide independent feedback on previous students who have used our service and passed. Some of these students were on their final attempt and some had even failed 2 years ago before re-sitting their professional numeracy skills test this time and passing first time!
- Practise and more practise. A short spell of intense revision usually works best when it comes to the professional numeracy skills test. A few weeks of sitting online practice tests day after day. Use model solutions to see where you have gone wrong and support this with further work to help improve your test mark so that you achieve 18 or above on your practice numeracy skills tests before you book your actual exam.
Whatever the reasons were for you failing your previous attempt of the professional numeracy skills test, don’t let this get in the way of your resit, you can do this!!! With some hard work, a boost in your confidence and plenty of practice qts maths tests under your belt you will be ready to re-sit your numeracy skills test and pass!
Contact QTS Maths Tutor if you want any help or advice whilst preparing for your professional numeracy skills test resit or even if it is your first attempt and you want to discuss how to prepare and pass your test.
