City & Guilds Functional Skills
City & Guilds functional skills is one of the top exam boards that provide Maths, IT and English functional skills exams. Functional skills level 2 exams have become popular since they are a GCSE equivalent qualification and higher education and employers require a Maths and English GCSE or GCSE equivalent qualification. The exams that City & Guilds provides are approved by the UK government and are regulated by Ofqual. Even though this qualification is approved by the UK government, not all University courses accept this qualification, for example teacher training courses prefer equivalency tests.
